Interiors​

 

Good construction provides the structure of a property. Good interior design makes it a place in which people genuinely want to live, work or spend time.

Alongside our construction and property development services, Hawkers Development provides interior design, specification, procurement and fit-out support. This allows the building work and the finished interior to be considered as one coordinated project rather than as separate stages.

​

We can help develop the overall interior concept, plan layouts and lighting, select finishes and materials, and specify kitchens, bathrooms, flooring, joinery and decorative details. We can also source furniture, lighting, artwork, window treatments and other items required to complete the property.

Our approach is practical rather than theatrical. The interior must look right, but it must also function properly, suit the building and reflect how the people using it will actually live or work.

Where appropriate, we work with specialist designers, craftspeople, manufacturers and suppliers to create individual pieces or source items that are not readily available through standard retail channels. We manage the procurement process, coordinate deliveries and oversee installation so that the completed interior is consistent with the original design.

By combining construction, development and interior design within one coordinated service, we can maintain continuity from the earliest plans through to the final furniture being installed.
