Property Development

Hawkers identifies and delivers property development opportunities, including the acquisition, renovation, improvement and resale of residential and commercial property.

We look for properties where thoughtful design, effective project management and carefully controlled investment can create meaningful additional value. This may involve modernising an outdated property, reconfiguring its layout, extending the existing building, improving its interior and exterior appearance or carrying out a more substantial redevelopment.

Some properties will be acquired with the intention of refurbishing and reselling them once the work is complete. Others may be retained for a longer period where there is an opportunity to create further value or where prevailing market conditions make an immediate sale less attractive.

We assess each opportunity individually, taking account of the purchase price, planning position, construction costs, development potential, local market and likely resale value. We are not interested in carrying out work simply for the sake of it. Every project must have a clear commercial rationale and a realistic route to generating an appropriate return.

Where properties are owned through separate third-party companies or investment vehicles, Hawkers Development can provide the construction, development management, procurement, refurbishment and fit-out services required to deliver the project.
